GUS (ex Kalo Taxidi) - 23 FT GERMAN RIVERINE LAUNCH
The craft was brought to Marchwood in September 1999 after her then owner, Robert Marshall, decided to dispose of her. The canal boat structure was removed before she was transported to Marchwood. How she became to be a canal boat at Bath is still open to debate, however current speculation is that she found her way to UK post-war for testing and evaluation, as was done with most types of German equipment. It is suggested that the current Scammel military engine was then fitted - thus the craft could be a rare survivor of a war prize used for testing. It is possible it survived because its stainless hull was not worth the work needed to scrap it.
