We welcomed a visit from the family of Flight Lieutenant R.E. Newman, who was C/O of LRRC192 in 1943. Here a caricature, drawn by the Doctor on board, Royman Browne, dated 1943.
We were also given a set of photos, taken at Dieppe, and annotated in German - set 1 - set 2. We have no idea how these photos came to be with the family, but they are a stark reminder of the desperate days back then. Any help with 192 history would be much appreciated. |
