Shown here at the front of the photograph this is the last of its type, she was previously owned by a member of Southsea Sea Angling Club and used regularly from the beach just to the west of South Parade Pier. She was one of many used by the SSSA Club until the late seventies.
Today the club have mainly motorised fast fishing boats owned by the club members and a number of small Orkneys and Withs as their club boats. These boats are based at the club’s enclosure at Eastney just off the public slipway at the entrance to Langstone Harbour. The beach boat is general good repair but will require some maintenance work to bring her up a usable standard.
